1980年,我们对贡嘎山地区进行了水文考察。考察期间,调查了水文状况,在磨西河,田湾河作了短期流量观测;建立了6个气象观测点,连续观测了气温、降水等气象要素,收集了气象、水文及水电部门的台站资料。本文是上述这些资料的分析结果。
文内涉及的范围东起大渡河,西至莫溪沟与王农溪分水岭,北抵康定,南达田湾河流域,共计3819平方公里。

The main hydrologic characteristics in this region are as follows. 1. All rivers are rain, melt-water and ground-water fed. The glacial areas are about 360km2. The melt-water supply makes up 15-25% of the total runoff, having a long-cycle adjustng effect. 2 The hydrologic characteristics on east and west slopes have distinct differences. Both are different in annual runoff distrbution, and their dry years are not synchronization. The mean depth of runoff on the west slope is 55-60% of the east slope. 3. The surface runoff varies with alitude, and has vertical zonality of hydrology. In the forest zone (alt. 1400-3500m) of Moxi River Basin on the east slope, the runoff distribution may be expressed as: Y=1196-20.5(H-32)2; in the shrub and meadow zone (alt. 3500-4600m) Y=1366-2.34(H-32)2;  in the nival zone (alt. above 4600m), the mean depth of runoff is 1718mm. In the forest zone of Zheduo River Basin on the west slope (alt. 2500-4000m) Y=635-0.812(H-35)2; in the shrub and meadow zone (alt. 4000-4700) Y=726-0.928(H-35)2; in the nival zone (alt. above 4700m), the mean depth of runoff is 1471 mm. 4. The interannual variation of runoff of the mxied-suppied rivers is smaller than other various rivers. The coefficainet of annual variation Cy <0.20.
