Other Abstract目前为止,中国的山地空间范围尚没有一致的划定和界线。在众多影响山地和非山地划分的因素中,山地的界定标准和地形起伏度计算尺度最为重要。山地是一个令许多科学工作者难于严密定义的科学对象和学术用语,到目前为止,仍然没有统一的山地定义出现。该文对前人研究成果进行了总结和分析,提出4种关于我国山地的定量界定标准,结合作者关于地形起伏度计算尺度的研究,分别得出4种定义下的我国山地的范围和面积。通过与现有资料(《中国地貌类型图》)的对比和分析,确定适合于我国的山地定量界定标准,并最终计算出我国山地面积为658.81万km2,占国土面积的68.2%。 
; So far, the mountain regions of China are still no unified boundaries. Among the many influencing factors,the defini-tion of mountain and the calculating scale of terrain relief are two of most important. Mountain is that many scientists are diffi-cult to closely define the scientific object and academic terms; so far,there is no unified definition of the mountain. The authors summarized and analyzed the previous studies about mountain definition and mountain range, proposed four quantitative defini-tions of mountain: 1) the elevation is over 2 500 m,or slope is over 25°or terrain relief is over 50 m when the elevation is be-tween 500 m to 2 500 m,or terrain relief is over 50 m when the elevation is lower 500 m; 2) the elevation is over 2 500 m,or slope is over 25°or terrain relief is over 50 m when the elevation is between 500 m to 2 500 m,or terrain relief is over 100 m when the elevation is lower 500 m;3) the elevation is over 2 500 m,or slope is over 25°or terrain relief is over 100 m when the elevation is between 500 m to 2 500 m,or terrain relief is over 50 m when the elevation is lower 500 m;4) the elevation is over 2 500 m,or slope is over 25°or terrain relief is over 100 m when the elevation is between 500 m to 2 500 m,or terrain relief is o-ver 100 m when the elevation is lower 500 m. Combining the calculating scale of terrain relief, the study droved four results of area of the mountain regions in China. Through comparison with the existing data,the study determined the definition for moun-tain in China,and finally acquired that the area of mountain region in China is 6 588 100 km~2, which accounts for 68. 2% to the terrestrial land of China. By the scientific definition of the mountain range, the study provides a basis and support for the survey of ecologic environment resources and the humanities and the social economic.
