The local environment and the development of economy and society are exposed to the threats, resulting from alarge area of the sloped farm lands and the significant loss of soil and water in the TGP reservoir area of upper YangtzeR iver. We have effectively controlled the soil and water loss in eco-clean small watersheds, through building up the three lines of defense such as “ecological rehabilitation, ecological harnessing ande cological protection”, as well as regulating the fluctuated zone of the reservoir area. We study the control mode of eco-clean small watersheds in TGP reservoir area, combining with general principles  and technical requirements, and put for ward some suggestions toimprove the control mode of the watersheds.
