Numerical simulations of coupling computational methods of Discrete Element Method (DEM) is used to study the motion of collapse and its optimizing prevention structure in the Longdongzi Dujiangyan-Wenchuan Expressway and to explore the dynamic impact response of landslide body to buttress.It shows that the dynamic impact response is related with the height of buttress,motion distance of landslide body,friction coefficient of fragments in the collapse body and the buffer distance between buttress and basal slope.Macroscopically,cracks occurs when collapse body strikes the buttress and microscopically,the impact force excesses the parallel connective strength of particles and produce fractures.The structural model and design parameters of buttress are optimized according to numerical simulation and it proves that the buttress structure model and design parameters are of certain application value.
