Abstract | There are several classfication methods on debris flow. Amony various methods the dynmic way is commonly applied in the world. However, up to now, this method is still lack of rational quanlitive index, although the special weight is often used. This prliminary study attempts apptication of Cas, i.e. SURFACE AREA CONENTRATION as the crlterla index. The definition of Csa is the ratio of total solid surface area to corrsponding water volume in a unit volume of debris flow. Its dimension is [l/L]. This index could comprehensively express the concentration and size distribution of debris flow. It is obtained more saltisfying results to use this criteria than to apply the special weight γc. |
