Abstract | For a debris flow basin, the channel bed slope in the deposition channel section and on an alluvial fan is milder than that of the conveyance section. The channel bed also becomes wider and rougher. This article analyzes the processes of deceleration and deposition of viscous debris flows. According to the variation of the characteristics of debris flow and the slope conditions, the author proposed a calculation method for these processes and discussed the natural laws of boulder deposition on an alluvial fan. |
