AbstractThe viscosity of flow causes energy loss when flow is in motion. Although the viscosity of debris flow can not be surveyed directly to to now, it may be shown indirectly by the volume weight of debris flows and the effective viscosity of the slurry of debris flows. The debris flows pattens in Hunshui Gully belong to turbulent flow. Thus, the calculation of their velocity can be done with the help of the formula for turbulent flow velocity (Chezy--Manning Formula). By comparing the velocity of debris flows with the velocity of water flow, and analysing the relation between them on the basis of the data of actual observation and test in a simple wooden flute, the formula of the velocity of debris flows in Hunshui Gully is obtained.Vc=(μ/μcd)^0.1*(γ/γc)^0.4*V, in which Vc is velocity of debris flows, V is velocity of water flow, μ is dynamic viscosity factor of water, μcd is effective viscosity of debris flow slurry, γ is volume weight of water, and γc volume weight of debris flows.
Other Abstract根据浑水沟泥石流流速、清水流速实测资料和野外简易木槽试验资料,对泥石流流速和水流流速进行对比分析后,提出浑水沟泥石流流速计算式。
