AbstractThe primary aim of this paper is to explore the mapping methods of small-scale distribution map of debris flow. It is based on the information about exsiting distribution and past activities of debirs flow. There are three map contents on this map. They are: (1) debris flow region; (2) debris flow zone, and (3) site of serious damage of debris flow. The debris flow like an clongated belt, appears in the debris flow region. There are nine main debris flow zones in the whole of debris flow region in Sichuan. We may take this map as a distribution map of superimposition of occurrences, activities and damages of debris flow. This map can be used for six aspect, such as (1) regional planning, (2) development and conservation of natural resource, (3) evaluation of stability in a region, (4) route alignment, (5) selection of construction sites, and (6) prediction for future debris flow distribution.
Other Abstract泥石流制图不仅能汇集和表示某些泥石流研究成果,而且是一种泥石流研究方法。区域泥石流分布图可以为区域泥石流预测、预防和规划治理提供一些依据,从而具有重要的实际意义。本文以四川泥石流分布图为例,探讨小比例尺区域泥石流分布图编制方法。
