Abstract | The Sichuan-Xizhang highway is from Chengdu,Sichuan province to Lhasha, Tibet. The distance from east to west measures 2414 kilometers, (1286 kilometers in Xizhang territory). The roads cross the Southeast of Qinhai -Xizhang Plateau and are the main traffic lines of Xizhang to Sichuan,Yurnan and Guizhou. There are various landforms, complex geologic structures, severe erosion, broken rocks, dense faults and folds along the road. The neotectonics is very active. The deposits along the road are very loose and insatiable, and provides large materials to the debris flow. The climate in this area is controlled by the southwest monsoon, and is getting warm and wet in last forty years, and makes the debris now active. Maritime glacier has extensive distribution in this area. The occurred glacier debris flow and glacier-rainfall debris flow have the greatest dimension in the world. The studies have been focused on the distribution, type, formation, rule of movement, characteristics of hazards of debris now along the road. Considering the field survey and analyses, 341 debris flow gullies have been listed in detail. The computer management information system has been built, which edited and published the map of distribution of the debris now and other hazards with a scale of 1/150,000. The mathematical models have been set up by the method of multinomial statistics, fuzzy mathematics and Fisher rule for debris flow to distinguish the activity and formation of the glacier debris now. Checked by the field information, the validity is 94.4 percent to 100 percent. |
