Other AbstractAmong three murces of the Changjiang River,the lengthes of Dam River and Tuotuo River are similar,which are longer than the Chumar River,and it is more than 100km long if il starts off from the poinl of the main source only,the length of Dam River and Tuotuo River should be nleasured.
    The meastlrement was made 011 the topographic map in scale of 1:100 000.In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement data,the error cause and the correction method were analysed in 6 aspects:the analysis and correction of current situation and map synthesis,the strech out and draw back of the map sheets and the deformation of Gauss projection,the analysis and control of systematic and random errors in the measurement.By the accurate measurenlen[it is comfirmed that the Dam River is 6.8 km longer than the Tuotuo River.h supplies all important basis for determmg the Dam River is main source of the Changjiang River.
